You can even dive in fifteen minutes after application, no more waiting till tomorrow after shocking! Step 3: Prevent Algae with Back Up® If you don’t like the weather here in Georgia, just wait a minute, it will change. Because we constantly are dealing with rain and humidity, the necessity for algae prevention is greater here than any other place in America. Trust in Back Up to prevent algae-formations before they even get started growing. In conjunction with Smart Sticks and Smart Shock, Back Up acts as your ultimate weapon against expensive and annoying algae problems. And for our customers with water fountains or integrated spas, we offer Algae All 60™, a non-foaming formula that performs just as well. Remember to test your pool at least once per month! Caring for your pool without chlorine has never been easier. In fact, with BioGuard®’s SoftSwim® program, you can have a complete non-chlorine sanitizing system in just three products. All SoftSwim products are liquid for effortless application, and do not require mixing or pre-dissolving. SoftSwim is the ideal program for residential pools that are no larger than 25,000 gallons, equipped with a sand filter that circulates at least 12 hours a day. The Mineral Springs system involves only three key components: Mineral Springs Beginnings, Mineral Springs Renewal, and the Mineral Springs hardware. Upon opening your pool, add one bag of Mineral Springs Beginnings per 1,000 gallons. Your water may require more as the season progresses, add Mineral Springs Beginnings as needed. Mineral Springs Renewal contains pH balancers and essential chemicals needed for the equipment’s chlorine production. Add one bag of Mineral Springs Renewal per week per 20,000 Gallons.
